Adoption is a FOREVER plan and requires you to Voluntarily Surrender your Parental rights through the court. Our staff will assist you and accompany you as you do this and provide emotional support for as long as you need it. The parental right of the baby’s birth father will also have to be terminated and your counselor will explain this process to you.
If you are feeling anxious or wondering how you will know that your child is OK as the months and years pass, then perhaps some form of an open adoption plan is right for you. Your counselor will help you consider the options and choose the best plan for your peace of mind. We look forward to helping you select a warm and nurturing family for your child. To assist you in this process, we will supply you with non-identifying information and pictures of several couples waiting to become parents. We have been actively involved in the lives of potential adoptive couples long before your initial contact with us. We have interviewed them extensively, performed numerous background checks and verified that they are financially stable and physically and emotionally healthy before approving them for adoption. This process can take up to 6 months for them to complete! Together we can carefully select the right family for your child from among the approved couples and will strive to honor any special requests that you may have regarding your baby's adoptive parents.
