Director
Rev. Trina Bell Morrison

Rev. Trina Bell Morrison, an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church was appointed Executive Director of Hannah’s Hope in June 2006.  Trina did her undergraduate studies at Lambuth University in Jackson, TN, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Music Degree in Church Music and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocal Music Education.  She did her seminary studies at Candler School of Theology at Emory University, receiving her Master of Divinity degree, cum laude with a Certificate in Christian Education.  She has served pastoral appointments in Fayette, Obion and Shelby counties in Tennessee.  Trina’s passions have long been in ministry with children and families.  Previously, she has served as a pre-school teacher and center director, youth pastor and director of children’s and educational ministries in the local church setting.  Trina is an adopted child who has been in reunion with her birth family for six years.  Her life experience gives her insight into the hearts of both birth parents and prospective adoptive parents and she is committed to providing compassionate and professional services to all members of the adoption triad.  Trina and her husband, John, are the proud parents of Anna Kate, born in November 2005.

Emily Samuels

Emily Samuels has extensive experience in the social work field.

Emily holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the Univeristy of Tennessee (Memphis, TN). She
also has numerous hours of continued professional education and training in adoption issues for parents and children, bereavement and loss, and relationship building - just to name a few.

Emily has provided counseling services in not only faith-based, non-profit organizations, but in hospitals, as well. Emily feels God's call in all of the career choices she has made, and we at Hannah's Hope certainly feel that God led Emily to us and vise versa.

Emily is married to Gary, proud mother of two adult sons, Brett and Blaine and proud grandmother of her new grandson.  She is a member at Collierville United Methodist Church

 

 
Adoption Specialist
Kay Knaff, LCSW

Kay joined the staff of Hannah's Hope in the Spring of 2006.  She brings with her nearly 20 years of experience as a social worker specializing in work with children and adolescents who have experienced abuse and neglect.  She and her family attend St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Tennessee.  Kay and her husband say that "thanks to the selfless love of two birthmoms," they are the proud parents of two wonderful boys.

Traci Chapman Schott, LCSW

Tracy Chapman Schott joined the staff of Hannah's Hope in the Spring of 2006.  Traci and her husband, Kent, live in Jackson, Tennessee with their two pups Izzi B and Rio and love the West Tennessee area.  She primarily serves Hannah's Hope clients who live outside of the Memphis Metro area.  She has 14 years experience as a social worker providing services for children who have been abused and neglected and considers kids and families to be her specialty.  She is passionate about every child deserving a loving home.  Traci and her husband look forward to starting their own family in the near future. 

 



 
Office Manager
Marcia Tate

Marcia Tate joined the staff of Hannah's Hope in November 2005, serving in the capacity of Office Manager.  Marcia enjoyed being a part of a ministry that is committed to children especially those who need a loving family.  Her husband, Bill, is an adopted child and this fuels her passion for working in the area of adoption.  She brings many years of experience in Office Administration to the agency and is committed to providing caring and professional services to all the Hannah's Hope clients.

Marcia is a United Methodist clergy spouse and she and her husband, Bill, are proud parents of two adult children.
